    • About: Dr. Judith Narcissi is a professor of archaeology and history, specializing in the mythical land of Thauma, which like Atlantis was rumored to have vanished from the Earth. She is willing to go to great lengths to obtain any physical evidence tying the mythical realm to a mundane one.

  3. Joseph Nachtmann

    • Age: 63
    • Occupation: Bookstore owner
    • Special Abilities: To be revealed
    • About: Holt’s employer and mentor at King’s Books. Less inclined to fantasizing than Holt, but given to his own strange proclivities. He lives in an odd home filled with art and devices of his own design, funded by his brief entrepreneurial fame in the 70s.

  4. Beverly Poe

    • About: Not much has yet been revealed about Beverly Poe, except that she is a student like Holt who has a side job as a local singer. She seems somehow attuned to Holt’s meddling in the mysterious map and its consequences.

  5. Gaston Vruk

    • Occupation: Adventurer for hire
    • Special Abilities: Adventuring
    • About: You’d think there wouldn’t be much work for a man who bills himself as a modern day adventurer, but you might be surprised. In his own mind, Vruk is a mix of a latter-day Indiana Jones and Rick Blaine. Thing is, he has the skills to back up that claim, which Narcissi learns when she hires him to claim some Thaumarian artifacts.

  6. Arthur Mathis

    • Age: 51
    • Occupation: Attorney
    • Special Abilities: To be revealed
    • About: The antithesis of Nachtmann. A scumbag attorney who had everything handed to him, yet it’s not enough. He surrounds himself with mercenaries, and brokers the services of people like Vruk to people like Narcissi, always for a cut. And the cut isn’t always money.
